My name is Samone Khalil, and I grew up in the Western Suburbs of Chicago navigating the quiet challenges of womanhood—figuring out who I was, where I belonged, and how to confidently move through the world. Like many women, I searched for spaces where I could fully be myself, surrounded by others who shared my values and experiences. What I found instead were gaps—conversations not had, skills not taught, and guidance that so many of us were expected to “just know.”
As I got older, I realized how many essential life skills women are never formally taught—how to advocate for ourselves, manage our finances, set boundaries, build confidence, navigate careers, or step into leadership without apology. I learned many of these lessons through trial and error, often wishing there had been a supportive community to guide me along the way.
I created For the Sisters Organization to build the space I was searching for—a space dedicated to teaching the life skills nobody taught us, in an environment rooted in sisterhood, support, and growth. This organization exists to empower women with practical knowledge, confidence-building tools, and real conversations that help us navigate life with clarity and purpose.
More than anything, I hope For the Sisters becomes a safe and welcoming community where women feel seen, supported, and equipped to thrive. A place where we learn together, uplift one another, and step into our full potential with confidence, pride, and intention.
With purpose and sisterhood,
Samone Khalil
